Introduction To woven Darning @ something good

Wednesday 22nd October 18.30 - 21.00

Maybe you have a holey sock, a favourite moth eaten jumper, torn jeans you want to save but don’t know how. This workshop will take you through the basics of woven darning. We will show you tips for visible and invisible mending. We’ll also spend time covering how to source and match the right yarns for your garment and equipment essentials. You can bring your holey item and get straight to it or we’ll have plenty of fabrics scraps you can practice on.

It’s also Circular Economy Week! A great time to get into mending, if you’ve not tried it before. Did you know if the active life on an item of clothing is extended by 9 months it would reduce carbon waste and water footprints by around 20-30% each. WRAP
