After School Club

Weekly sewing classes held during term time, guided by experienced teachers.

These classes are a great extra curricular activity that will give your child transferable life skills. They will learn to use a sewing machine and loads of other craft and design techniques; appliqué, embroidery,  free machining, dressmaking, pattern cutting the list is endless.

We have a range of projects on offer so they can always have a choice of making something they will use and cherish. We love to instill a sense of pride in what they make, and creating things that they will cherish for years to come.

  • Open to children in Year 2 and above.

    These sessions are suitable for all levels of ability, can be a great extra help for GSCE and A level work and can go towards D of E skills.

    All our teachers are DBS checked.

  • All materials and equipment provided, although children are welcome to bring their own.

    Our studio is packed with fabric and haberdashery , many of which are reused and recycled.

  • Spring terms finishes on 26th March and we return for the Summer Term on Monday 13th April.

    Classes take place during the following timings.

ADvanced Teen Sewing Club

This one is for our teen sewers who want to get serious about their sewing! Maybe you’ve mastered sewing basics and have got the creative vision but just not quite sure how to make it happen? Our experienced facilitators are here to help guide you into the world of fashion and textiles, push the boundaries and let your creativity run wild. A place to share ideas with other like minded peers and learn from and inspire each other.

In these sessions we want to push your skills to make you the best sewer you can be!
We can help with:

  • Demystify commercial patterns

  • Tackling advanced projects

  • Drafting patterns from scratch 

  • Copying your own garments 

  • Upcycling and refashioning

  • Draping on the stand. 

  • Helping you prepare work for a textiles/fashion portfolio for college or uni.

  • Suitable for experienced sewers aged 14 - 18 years (not for beginners.) 

    Can be a great extra help for GSCE and A level work and can go towards D of E skills.

FreeStyle Sewing Saturdays

We run a morning & afternoon session, once or twice a month!

They’ll get stuck into sewing, crafting and designing projects to instill a sense of confidence and pride. These sessions are open to kids of all sewing abilities, from complete newbies to confident creators. Regardless of their ability, they’ll leave with new knowledge and progress on projects appropriate to their skill level. 

This is a great extracurricular activity that will give your child transferable life skills. They’ll learn to use a sewing machine and discover loads of other craft and design techniques.

  • Open to children in Year 2 and above.

    These sessions are suitable for all levels of ability, can be a great extra help for GSCE and A level work and can go towards D of E skills.

    This session can also serve as a taster to see if your child would like to sign up for our After School Club or Holiday Classes. 

    Please note, unlike Holiday Class sessions we cannot offer childcare in between the morning and afternoon class.

  • We have two sessions running between 9.30 - 12.30 and 13.30 - 16.30 on the following dates:
    Saturday 9th May

    Saturday 4th July
    NB there will be no Saturday classes in August

  • £30.00 for 3 hours of freestyle sewing.

HOliday Classes

Come and make clothes or accessories during the holidays. We always let our students choose from a huge range of projects so they make something they love and want to cherish!
We provide the fabric, patterns and ideas and your child can make magic, we have a whole host of projects to choose from, great for beginners/ intermediate.

Hand sewing and machine sewing projects will be on offer from cushions to jumpsuits and everything in between. 

Book for multiple sessions to make more adventurous things! 

MAY HALF TERM SESSIONS ARE NOW LIVE TO BOOK

    We now have a basket system (yay) so select the dates you want, how many tickets for the dates and then head to the checkout.

    £30.00 for 3 hours of freestyle sewing.

    £3.00 lunchtime cover if needed for people booking half day sessions is also available - please email for information.

Private Lessons

You can book a private session for up to 1 or 2 people too. Get dedicated help for starting your sewing journey or delve into tricky techniques with one of our expert facilitators.

Worn Out: Free Drop-In Mending Sessions

We host free drop-in mending sessions around Lewisham each month, open to grown-ups and kids aged 8+ of all levels of sewing.
