Connecting through Sewing

Museums are full of stories that are stitched into history, culture, and imagination.
But sometimes, standing back and looking just isn’t enough. You want to touch the story and have a chance to make something from it.

That’s what we do at Make Mee Studio!

We bring sewing and textile workshops into museums and cultural spaces so visitors can move from spectators to makers. Instead of passively absorbing what’s on the walls, people pick up a needle, a scrap of fabric, and start shaping their own connection to the exhibition.

It’s not just craft for craft’s sake, but a way to explore identity, sustainability, and heritage through your hands as well as your mind.

Our workshops are open, informal, and designed to invite people in - even those who think they “can’t sew.” Within minutes, they’re experimenting, chatting, creating, and leaving with something uniquely theirs. And we’ve seen hundreds of these moments unfold: from kids making recycled dinosaur tails at the Horniman Museum and Gardens, to whole families stitching together at The O2. Each person leaves with more than a handmade piece, they leave with a great new experience.
